Compliance Checkup for Credit Unions: PCI-DSS and EMV

Originally recorded on September 6, 2012, 60 minutes

A free recorded webinar brought to you by CUNA Strategic Services and Diebold

Credit unions are faced with a host of complex compliance and industry regulations.  In this session, we'll focus on two compliance standards that will affect your card programs. They are: PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) chip card technology.

PCI-DSS is a set of policies and procedures intended to optimize the security of credit, debit and cash card transactions and protect cardholders against misuse of their personal information. EMV is a global standard for "chip" cards used at ATMs and point of sale terminals for authenticating card transactions.

By developing an integrated compliance strategy, you'll secure member data and enhance your ability to react to industry conditions. Please join us to learn:

  • Why treating PCI-DSS compliance as a journey can help credit unions develop the optimal security approach
  • What's behind the migration of EMV in the United States
