Millennials are the biggest generation of customers ever (80 million strong in the U.S.). While they're not following the social norms of settling down and taking out mortgages, they are searching for brands they trust.

  • Scratch/Viacom Media Networks reports that 71% of millennials would “rather go to the dentist than listen to what banks are saying.”
  • Millennials are three times more likely than boomers and twice as likely as Gen X to be “unbanked,” according to FINRA Foundation Financial Capability Insights. 
  • Four of the top 10 least-liked brands by millennials are J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Bank of America Corp., Wells Fargo & Co., and Citigroup according to The Brookings Institute.
