Often times, the words vulnerability scanning and penetration testing are used in the same sentence as if they were the same or similar, but they are not. Vulnerability scanning allows us to identify and measure the severity of vulnerabilities for all systems or devices using automated tools. Penetration testing is typically a goal oriented engagement that is performed to simulate real-life attacks on your network to test the defense mechanisms that you have in place.
Join us on Dec. 14th at 1:00pm CST, where we'll go over the difference between penetration testing and vulnerability scanning and the importance of both to your cybersecurity program.
