CUNA Strategic Services, Inc. (often referred to as CSS) provides credit unions with access to high quality products, services, and technologies delivered with a competitive advantage made possible through volume pricing and strategic program development. CSS is jointly owned by Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and the state credit union leagues.
We begin by listening to credit unions in an effort to understand the business challenges they are facing. We then research all possible solutions, interacting with many product manufacturers and service providers to determine the type of program best suited to assist our nation’s credit unions. After an initial high-level screening of candidate companies, we undertake a rigorous due diligence process with a short list of possible partners. We gauge their suitability by measuring an exhaustive list of factors related to quality, financial soundness, integrity and cultural fit. Once an alliance partner is chosen, we work with them to create a compelling and unique offering that is competitively priced and designed to help credit unions compete effectively. We then promote that program to credit unions, educating them on the business challenge and the corresponding CSS partner solution.
